It takes some nerve to title a song Disaster. But that's what original member Jim Goodwin yelled into the mic after bassist extraordinaire Fred Chalenor started off the song at a blistering pace (and didn't look up) live in concert, and Jim knocked over a couple mic stands in shock. The song never really decided to play itself the way we laid it out, and something entirely new resulted. The resulting 'Disaster' (I have no recollection of what the piece was originally called) was, at the time, thought to be an amusing record of a live performance. Over the years, we grew to PREFER this fabulous live performance, wild improvised changes and all. So, when we got together over tea and mushrooms, we decided we had to record this like the original live Disaster, and dump the fussy score. However, we allowed for new 'disasters' to occur in the making of the piece. We do love the combination of well constructed form with the wild spontaneous element.

See my comment to the simultaneously acquired Phideax album: Beautiful music is very welcome in this crazy times...
Mostly instrumental rock progressivo italiano. If I got this right, this is kind of a decades-old family's affair. Good, that the, er, ragazzi finally started recording/publishing their music.
PS Well, not everything here exactly fits the "beautiful music" Iabel. Styles and moods vary from mellow/Camel to edgy/Crimso King. Carsten Pieper
